You’re ready to finish the education and training you need to finally become board-certified, but how do you get from your Certified Lactation Specialist Course all the way to IBCLC exam-readiness?
You *could* create your own curriculum, finding enough conferences or home study courses to complete another 45 hours of education - or you could hop on the Fast Track and check off all of your remaining education hours in one place (in just nine weeks).
The CLS to IFC® Fast Track
The fastest, easiest way to get the remaining 45 lactation-specific education hours & 5 communication-specific education hours you need to leverage your Certified Lactation Specialist Course, & meet IBCLC exam requirements.
Created in collaboration with Lactation Education Consultants to avoid repeated information, this streamlined option will fill in the gaps in your knowledge and coursework needs in just 9 weeks.
No overlap in learning - we’re getting straight to the advanced knowledge you need to prepare for your IBCLC exam.
Enrich your clinical skills with quizzes, case studies, and assignments and feedback from experienced IBCLCs.
Flexible, asynchronous coursework that lets you complete your education without rescheduling your clinical practice.
Not a CLS, or need all 95 hours still? Head to our Infant Feeding Counselor® course!
The only requirement for the Fast Track is being a Certified Lactation Specialist in good standing. We’ve collaborated with Lactation Education Consultants to create the Fast Track and provide you with the remaining education hours you need to complete the IBCLE® Detailed Content Outline (communication hours included).
In addition to completing all of your required hours, you’ll learn how to conduct hands-on physical assessments for both baby and breast to provide more tailored treatment plans.
I’m a lifelong educator (and college professor, and advisor) with a deep commitment to improving the lactation field through education - I develop each curriculum with your learning in mind, so that the process of completing your hours is actually helpful to you as you face your exam and start working as an IBCLC. I’m thrilled you’re here, and can’t wait to meet you as we start our next Fast Track cohort!
Develop your skills in supporting lactation in patients with complex conditions like pre-eclampsia, bacterial and viral infections, and postpartum mood disorders to solidify your role as a member of the healthcare team.
Learn how to manage advanced cases like patent ductus arteriosus, cleft lip and palate, and jaundice from a lactation-specific perspective.
Improve your clinical counseling skills through simulations, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) training to provide more trauma-informed care, equity skill building, and more.
The CLS to IBCLC Fast Track includes 3 modules taught over the span of 3 weeks each, taking a total of 9 weeks to complete.
